New Zero Waste Station Installed at the Tipping Point
The Tipping Point moved forward with their next Zero Waste Initiative – a Zero Waste Zone of our own. Now our customers can purchase hand, laundry and all-purpose soap in bulk, no more wasted plastic packaging! In addition this zone will have free glass jars and other reusable containers for purchase – all of which would have ended up in landfill had we not rescued them first 🙂
Beyond zero-waste products for sale we have started collecting Oral Care products such as old toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes and floss packages that will be sent to our friends at Terracycle for recycling. Got an idea for other products to recycle? Let us know at [email protected]!
Bea Johnson Visits Auckland
Bea Johnson spoke to a packed auditorium in Auckland about living a Zero Waste lifestyle. Bea, also known as the ‘High Priestess of Zero Waste’ and author of the bestseller ‘Zero Waste Home’ gave away all of her tricks starting with the 5 R’s which help her fit her annual waste into a small mason jar.
